Rita Spillers

I was born and reared near Bastrop, LA, into a family of gospel singers and musicians. My daddy was Leonard L. Robinson, and we had a gospel singing group called the "Robinettes," with a TV show of our own on CBS-affiliate KNOE-TV in the early 60's called "Prime Time," sponsored by Mr. Petit of E&P Grocery in West Monroe, LA. I am married to local accountant James J. Spillers and am the mother of two, with four grandchildren.
